Seit 2005 besteht DECOY aus 6 Profimusikern, die schon mit Stars wie z.B. Peter Maffay, Mel C. oder Clueso auf Tour waren. Ihr Repertoire besteht aus den angesagtesten Pop-, Rock-, Soul- und Discosongs, gepaart mit ausgewählten Klassikern der letzten 30 Jahre. Von Anfang an bewies DECOY ein sehr gutes Gespür dafür, welche aktuellen Songs gespielt werden müssen und machten dies zu einem ihrer Markenzeichen.
Der Erfolg bewies schnell, dass sie mit diesem Konzept richtig lagen. Seitdem spielt DECOY auf den namhaften Veranstaltungen in Deutschland und Europaweit.
Bei Open Airs verlässt sich zum Beispiel einer der größten Radiosender Deutschlands „mdr JUMP“ auf die Unterstützung von DECOY und buchte die Band 2012 mehrfach als Support für Silbermond, Stefanie Heinzmann und Klee. Auch bei großen Galas wie der Chio Aachen, bei der ITB in Berlin oder der Cebit in Hannover konnte DECOY begeistern! Bei Sportveranstaltungen wie dem Runnerspoint Staffellauf in der Veltins- Arena („auf Schalke“) oder dem Fishermans Strongman Run auf dem Nürburgring gehört DECOY mittlerer Weile schon zum Inventar. Selbst beim DFB Pokalfinale und der Aufstiegsfeier von Hertha BSC hat man in Berlin mit DECOY 2013 schon gefeiert. DECOY sorgt aber nicht nur auf Galas und Open Airs für beste Stimmung, sondern liefert natürlich auch auf privaten Feiern mit kleinen Bühnen eine top Performance.
Auch wenn seit den Gründungstagen hunderte von Auftritten hinter der Band liegen, so haben Sie sich bisher dennoch immer das bewahrt, was sie so unverwechselbar macht: Die Freude am Spielen und den Wunsch, damit Menschen zu begeistern.
